Artist’s Statement

Miss Tiara Ring-Rose is a character I have created from my imagination, observation, memory and experience. Perhaps she might be a self portrait of my alter ego!?? I express my thoughts and emotions through her. She reveals some very personal moments; little bits of life we don’t think about much. Although most of the images are fun and whimsical, they can be embarrassing, sad or even scary. They show an underlining truth while radiating an amusing and/or melodramatic quality. People, particularly women, can identify themselves with Tiara. I want her to make us think and feel more, as well as laugh. Life is what we make it!!
