Environmental analysis
COF is gathering data on the pre-outfall condition and current condition of the marine environment at Boags Rocks (Gunnamatta). Data collected so far shows the extent of degradation that has occurred after the outfall has been discharging.
Education and community awareness
COF has developed criteria for the Outdoor and Environmental Studies curriculum and is working with many student based environmental organisations to raise awareness and channel support for improved waterways.
Affirmative action
COF actively lobbies local, State and Federal governments with proposals and strategies designed to achieve its objectives of cleaner oceans. Additionally, COF works with other environmental protection groups, including the anti desalination plant group Watershed Victoria and the anti north south pipeline group Plug the Pipe to protect Australia's beautiful coastline, ecosystems and beaches.
